9th December 2020: BBL Community Land Trust has started some redecoration and improvement works to the Centre and we're looking forward to being able to open fully in the not-too-distant future. We are working with a number of local organisations on some exciting developments to provide educational, support and health sessions - all in line with current Covid-19 rules and regulations:
- Pendle Community High School has agreed to take on the pocket park next to our car park and will be starting soon to clear and tidy it ready for new planting in Spring 2021;
- Lancashire Adult Learning is planning to provide maths functional skills and ESOL classes in the New Year;
- Whitefield Youth Association has chosen Hodge House Community Centre as its new home for the weekend study support sessions - again starting in the New Year and;
- Homestart East Lancashire wants to hold a weekly support group for newly pregnant mums.
December 2020: We are unable to accept bookings for private functions such as children's parties, small weddings etc. at the moment. Once restrictions on social gatherings are lifted, this will be reviewed.
